Mission to Zero is a 501(c)(3) public charity focused on reducing the burden of mental illness and advancing suicide prevention worldwide. Our mental health mission is to support suicide prevention efforts, reducing the burden of mental illness globally. With a special focus on populations that often face unique challenges—like veterans and first responders—we operate at the intersection of awareness, training, and collaboration, aiming to create lasting progress within systems and communities.
Every day, more than 120 lives are lost to suicide in the U.S.—a staggering statistic that becomes even more sobering when you consider the disproportionate toll on veterans. With over 7,400 veteran suicides annually, the numbers reveal a deep, unresolved crisis. These tragedies often stem from invisible wounds—depression, survivor’s guilt, trauma, and substance misuse. Mission to Zero exists because these numbers are not just statistics; they are stories cut short.
Our Board is a dedicated group of individuals passionate about suicide prevention and mental health support. Together, they guide our mission to provide care, training, and hope for those in need.
